Le Chat is Mistral AI's conversational assistant, built on models the company trains itself. Mistral has since renamed it Vibe, and the help centre states that conversations, settings and plans carried over; this record keeps its original slug. Several of Mistral's models are published under open weights, which means organisations can run them on their own hardware instead of calling an API. It is positioned as a European alternative to ChatGPT.
