Most lists are yes/no. A product is either “European” or it is not, which hides everything interesting: a Dutch brand assembling in Asia, a Norwegian browser owned from Beijing, a German SaaS running on a US hyperscaler.
Most lists rot. Companies are acquired and factories move; entries stay as they were the day someone added them. Here every claim carries the date it was checked, and its weight decays as it ages.
Most lists cannot be audited. Ours is a folder of JSON in a public repository, with the rubric in code and every score reproducible from the sources cited.
